Nail Trend Giveaway Part 1: Flakies

Hi all!  This is part one of five posts about nail trends that will each contribute an item to an awesome giveaway!

This time we have:

*Flakies*

These have been around for a while, but they are still so hot!  Most recently, Sally's has come out with their own line of AWESOME flakies called "Special Effects Top Coats" by their brand Finger Paints.   These are already getting hard to find (I missed out on "Twisted" and "Asylum" at my local Sallys already).  So if you want them, run out and get them before they are gone!

For the giveaway, I have for you.....Essie's "Shine of the Times"!  This is a great intro to flakies if you have not tried them.  If you are familiar with flakies, this one is probably similar to Nubar's "2010" and Sally Hansen's "Hidden Treasures".

This is "Shine of the Times" on China Glaze "For Audrey".  (Excuse my nails while I'm trying to grow them out again!)

"Shine of the Times" is from Essie's Luxeffects line which I picked up at Target for $8.00.    Though this is meant as a top coat, I also love the subtle shine it gives when worn alone.  This picture was one coat.
